Should online classes replace traditional classes
Time line:
Freshman Year (2012-2013)
- Day at the Park- It had always been a school tradition at LALA, & it was my first time participating in it. I was able to participate in events with my advisory and create a bond between us
- LALA Corps- I was the co-founder of LALA Corps, along with Steven Garcia. The club was designed to be student-runned were the members research and presented social justice events around the world. These events were used to then inform advisory students how human rights were being violated in any way so that there can be a class discussion on how we can fix, improve, or support what the people who are being oppressed are doing.
Sophomore Year (2013-2014)
- Hola Girls Soccer League- We won 1st place and were undefeated. I played as goalie.
- CAHSEE- An exam that all of the sophomores had to take at the end of the year. I scored above average, but now it doesn't matter because now the test has been terminated.
- AFS (Year)- I wanted to take part in AFS Cultural Exchange Program for a year in Japan, however, my parents did not let me. As a result, I reapplied in my Junior year to go during the summer.
Jonior Year (2014-2015)
- SAT/ ACT- I took them in June. I scored a 1280 on my SAT and a 16 for my ACT.
- AFS (Summer)- I finally got my parents approval to study abroad to Japan, but it was only for the summer. I could not apply to the year program because I would have had to lose a year in high school. Although, I had an wonderful experience with my host family and made new friends.
Senior Year (2015-2016)
- Assistant Couch for Volleyball- Since I had turned 18 in December, I wasn't able to compete in Volleyball tournaments. Then my volleyball coach asked if I wanted to become her helper and I accepted. Resulting in me getting the tittle of "Assistant Couch".
- Aquarium of the Pacific- For my Marine Biology class, we went on a field trip to the aquarium. I enjoyed the trip because I love researching information about the ocean, because we only know about 5% or less about it.
